Official release on May 8th of the new recording from the "Reflets Ensemble" at Calliope records.

This second recording has been registered with both works of Franz Liszt (1811-1886), original arrangements of « Sonnets de Pétrarque » and solo piano music write, by Marie-Laure Boulanger, and chamber music works of Lili Boulanger (1893-1918), a prodigious composer of the early 20th Century, who became the first woman laureate of the famous Prix de Rome competition in 1913, aged just 20.

The "Ensemble Reflets » was founded in May 2012.

The first recording of Debussy and Ibert by Ensemble Reflets will also be available very soon on Calliope record label.

In 2012, for both the celebration of the 150th year of Claude Debussy 's birth (1862-1918) and the 50th year of Jacques Ibert's death (1890-1962), a recording of a « live concert » given on May 2012 was created, mixing these two french composers of great chamber music works.

Marie-Laure Boulanger, pianist, and Thierry Durand, flutist, met at the CMA of the 9th district in Paris where they both teach, and played first as a duo.
The violist Françoise Douchet, member of the « Orchestre de Paris » joined them, as well as the well-known soprano Magali Léger.

Together, they founded a chamber music group which played for the first recording original arrangements of the Epigraphes Antiques of Debussy for flute, viola and piano.
These four musicians, whose musical complicity is reflected through their many concerts and recordings, are also committed to enabling the audience to discover new repertoires, even with unique arrangements when needed.

The second part of the CD with works by Lili Boulanger (1893-1918) begins with the two charming piano pieces D’un vieux Jardin and D’un Jardin Clair, which Boulanger plays with fine nuances..."

CD "Reflets" - from the critics...

This disc of "Miroirs entre Debussy et Ibert" is very welcome, with an admirable arrangement of the "Epigraphes antiques". Congratulations on a subtle and unified performance by the musicians, and a harmonious group.

CD "Reflets" - from the critics...

An elegant and racy Jacques Ibert. I recognized the very sensitive touch of the pianist particularly in Debussy's Reflets dans l'eau. A comforting musical voyage.
